Looking to try a new craft or to downsize your craft supplies collection? Visit the library’s craft swap! Items for the Craft Supply Swap may be dropped off at the library 4/8-4/18, during normal operating hours. April Canning Class – Carrot Cake Jam:
In these classes, you’ll learn proper safety techniques in the water bath canning process, and have the perfect topping for English muffins, pancakes and vanilla ice cream to take home! What better way to celebrate Earth Day than by spending time outside enjoying nature? Come explore the outdoors and participate in fun activities, including education about ancient plants and animals, environmentally conscious crafts and live animal showings! Household Hazardous Waste Event:
Burleson residents may dispose of household hazardous waste, old electronics, tires and paper for shredding. Proof of residency, including a city solid waste or water bill, is required. This is a free event. 9:00-11:00 a.m., Municipal Service Center, 725 SE John Jones Dr.

Far Out Family Campout and Fishing Adventure:
Hosted by Parks and Recreation. There will be archery lessons, fishing, a campfire, hot dog dinner and s’mores. Kidcreate Homeschool Classes – Advanced Papier-Mâché:
Come create 3D masterpieces using the mega-cool, mega-messy technique of papier-mâché! In this special class reserved just for our older artists, we’ll learn the process of creating our own papier-mâché as we sculpt 3-D bugs, delicate bowls and beautiful bird nests.
