James Beach opened his insurance company 44 years ago at age 19. Two years ago, his son, Morgan Beach, joined him at James Beach Insurance. When James passed in early 2022, Morgan inherited the business. Although the name changed to Beach Insurance Group, LLC, the personal attention remains the same. Committed to his father’s legacy, Morgan strives to help people find an insurance plan that best fits their needs. “I want to honor my dad’s legacy and memory,” he said. “I do my best to conduct business honestly and with integrity.” Active in several charities, he strongly supports his family’s foundation, The Jackson Project, which assists children with leukodystrophy. 

Beach Insurance Group offers life, health, dental and vision insurance, hospital and serious illness plans, plus some annuities. “We work with many carriers, so we compare plans, looking up doctors and drugs, to find the best one based on your needs,” Morgan shared. For those already on a plan, Morgan determines whether you already have the best or might need a change. “I won’t switch someone if they already have the best. Because I inherited my father’s established business, I have no pressure to sell anything,” he admitted.

Focused on helping, especially elderly people, Morgan takes an easygoing approach. He likes to sit down with people and watch their eyes when he helps them save money. The interaction fuels him to continue with what his father did for more than four decades. While he can’t always save money for people, sometimes he makes significant differences for an individual.

With specialization in affordable Medicare plans, Morgan also works with younger people in transition periods, for example, the 62-65 range. But he can help anyone who needs an individual or family plan at an affordable rate, even if that means he doesn’t write their policy.

Always happy to help, the service at Beach Insurance Group goes beyond enrollment. Challenges, changes, questions or assistance with billing issues require one phone call with a direct connection to Morgan long after enrollment. He welcomes clients to his office or to call, but he often makes house calls. 

Medicare Advantage open enrollment begins in January and runs through March for those already on a plan but still needing to make changes. For general insurance plans, be sure to enroll in November and by December 7. Review your policy and know what it does and doesn’t cover. He can help with the process and recommends avoiding the 1-800 numbers. “Many of them sell your information,” he cautioned. “Work with someone local who knows the area. They can help choose the best-for-you plan. Make sure you have a drug plan in place, since the absence of one can incur a penalty. Discuss your options with someone who understands.”

With a heart to protect those he serves, Morgan added, “Never give out personal information to anyone you don’t know. Not even your date of birth or if they say they’re with a major carrier.”
