Deadline for Scarecrow Contest Entry Form:

Heroes of Midlothian Oktoberfest:

Autumn Beats:
Bring chairs and blankets to sit on, but be ready to dance during this free concert by Red Iron Push, a Texas red dirt band. Food available for purchase. 7:00-9:00 p.m., Midlothian Community Park Amphitheater, 3601 S. 14th St. Next concert is November 5 in conjunction with Arbor Day events.

Food truck, inflatables, face painting, balloon art, giveaways and more. Free event. Downtown Trick Or Treat:
Participating merchants share pre-packaged candy with costumed visitors. 8th Street will be closed to through traffic during the event. 4:00-6:00 p.m., Downtown.

Ellis County Veterans Celebration Ceremony:
