Learn about the best trees for North Texas. Learn about hardy, drought tolerant species that provide shade, support wildlife, and require less maintenance. Furniture Restoration Workshop:
Work with museum experts to learn how to restore antique furniture back to new. Knowledge and supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own (small) pieces. Cost: Free; registration required. 9:00-11:00 a.m., Man House Museum Information Center, 604 W. Broad St.

Mansfield Veterans Day Parade & Salute:
Join the city of Mansfield and Mansfield ISD as they salute the military veterans with a parade that begins in front of City Hall and continues down Broad Street. Cost: Free. 10:00 a.m., City Hall, 1200 E. Broad St.

Veterans Day Special Music Tribute:
Whether you served, know someone who did or simply want to express your gratitude, this celebration is an opportunity for our community to come together and honor those who have defended our freedoms. Veterans and first responders are invited to come for free. Adults: $5; children: $2. 7:00-9:00 p.m., Farr Best Theater, 109 N. Main St.

For 13- to 17-year-olds. Team up with your friends for a night of nerf fun around our obstacles and barriers. We supply the darts, you bring a blaster! Registration required. $6. 7:30-8:30 p.m., Mansfield Activities Center, 106 S. Wisteria St. Register with the Mansfield Activities Center.

Grand Prairie Lights:
Guests may enter the line from 6:00-10:00 p.m. or until the park reaches capacity, whichever comes first. Marked Prairie Lights vehicles will drive to the end of the line at that time. Open every night 11/27-12/31. Cost: $50 per car. Lynn Creek Park, 5610 Lake Ridge Pkwy, Grand Prairie, TX 75052.

Hometown Holidays:
Join Mansfield for a month of holiday celebrations, kicking off with the huge Hometown Holidays Tree Lighting & Fireworks Show. The tree lighting will take place at approximately 6:30 p.m. with a spectacular fireworks show following directly after. Cost: Free. 5:00-9:00 p.m., Mansfield City Hall 1200 E. Families, seniors or anyone in MISD who needs food is welcome to walk in. Pets are provided for, as well. Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.; Tuesday: 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., Mansfield Mission Center, 78 Regency Parkway (park and enter around the back of the building). Wednesdays and Saturdays
St. Jude Food Panty:
Families who are in need of food can visit the food pantry twice a month on Wednesday or Saturday. Please bring a photo ID and verification of current residence. 9:00-11:00 a.m., drive-thru service at 310 Graves Street.

Saturdays
Mansfield Farm & Cottage Market:
Brings local farmers, homesteaders, artisans, craftsman, artists and musicians together for a community market each Saturday through Nov. 15. We are enriching the city’s connection to local fresh produce, food items, original crafts and art. Come alongside local musicians and nonprofit/educational groups to build your community. Cost: Free. 8:00 a.m.-noon, 703 E. Broad St.
