Run for a Cure 5K & Memorial Mile:

Autumn Beats Concert:
Featuring 4 Ever Young & the Reflections, early rock-n-roll and doo-wop music. Food available for purchase. Outside food, drink and coolers allowed. Bring chairs and blankets for lawn seating. Free. 7:30-9:30 p.m., Community Park Amphitheater, 3601 S. 14th St.

Disney’s Dare to Dream:
Presented by MHS Theatre. $12. Thursday: Sing-Along Performance: 7:00 p.m.; Friday: 7:00 p.m.; Saturday: 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., Midlothian High School Auditorium, 923 S. 9th St., Door 37. Purchase tickets at MidloTheatre.com.

Wildflower Walk:
One-half-mile nature walk held monthly by members of the Texas Master Naturalists. Free. 9:00 a.m., Mockingbird Nature Park, 1361 Onward Rd. In case of rain, event is cancelled.

Heritage Day:
Features “A Taste of Downtown Midlothian” with free samples from downtown restaurants for the first 750 eventgoers. Free live music, kids’ zone, and retail and information booths. 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., throughout downtown.

Crossroads of Texas GO TEXAN Country Festival:
Find Texas-made art, crafts and culinary favorites at the largest one-day event in the state! 200-plus booths and live music on 10-plus stages, including country artist Randall King. Free admission. 9:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m., Downtown Waxahachie.

Halloween Family Fun Market:
Trick-or-treat booth to booth, show off your best costume for the costume contest and snap a photo with a favorite Halloween character — all part of the MHS Band Booster Fundraiser. 4:00-8:30 p.m., Midlothian Civic Center, 224 S. 11th St. Learn more at www.midlothiantxciviccenter.com.
