- 3 cups self-rising flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, finely shredded
- 1 12-oz. beer (Light beer gives a lighter texture and flavor, dark beer will create a
- heavier texture with full beer flavor.)
- 4 Tbsp. butter, melted
- Spray a loaf pan with Pam cooking spray, set aside.
- Combine dry ingredients and cheese in a large bowl.
- Add beer. Mix dough until all dry ingredients are incorporated; dough will be sticky.
- Transfer the dough into prepared loaf pan.
- Bake at 375 F for 45 minutes or until lightly browned.
- At 35 minutes of baking, brush the loaf with 2 Tbsp. melted butter. Brush it again when the loaf first comes out of the oven.
