Family Movie Matinee:
For all ages. Escape into the world of cinema. Bring your friends and family to enjoy a cozy afternoon filled with laughter, drama or maybe even a few tears. Grab some popcorn and get comfortable! Free; no registration required. 1:00-3:00 p.m., Mansfield Public Library, 104 S. Wisteria St.

Home Run Derby:
Grab your whiffle bat, step up to the plate and launch one out of the park at our Mansfield Home Run Derby. Registration comes with a free T-shirt and other goodies, plus prizes for the winners of each age group. All proceeds go to the Team Hilliard Foundation, supporting research and awareness for ALS. The charity was founded by Sam Hilliard, a Mansfield High graduate and Major League ballplayer who tragically lost his father to the disease. Sunrise Sundae Sprint:
Who doesn’t love ice cream for breakfast? Celebrate National Ice Cream Day with a 1-mile fun run followed by an ice cold treat! This event is part of our Parks & Rec Month celebration! Cost: Free. 9:00-10:00 a.m., McKnight Park East, 700 U.S. 287 Frontage Rd.

Bilingual Story Time:
Children 3-6 years old, both English and Spanish speakers, with a caregiver can enjoy 30 minutes of books, songs, finger-plays and rhymes in both English and Spanish. This story time fosters emergent literacy, reinforces group listening skills and allows children to become familiar with a second language. 10:30 a.m., Mansfield Public Library, 104 S. Wisteria St.

Saturdays
Mansfield Farm & Cottage Market:
Each Saturday May-November, local farmers, homesteaders, artisans, craftsman, artists and musicians gather for a community market. We are enriching the city’s connection to local fresh produce, food items, original crafts and art. Come alongside with local musicians and nonprofit/educational groups to
build your community. Cost: Free. 8:00 a.m.-noon, 703 E. Broad St.
