10th Annual Methodist Mansfield Run With Heart:
Choose from a chip-timed half marathon and 5K run, or 1-mile fun run/walk. Then grab your sneakers to honor those living with heart disease, loved ones and emergency responders while supporting cardiology services at the hospital. 7:30 a.m., Methodist Mansfield Medical Center 2700 E. Nurturing Families:
10-session series designed for parents with children ages 0-6. This program focuses on developing nurturing parenting skills, building positive parent/child relationships, learning effective support strategies and practicing self-care for caregivers. Parents will participate in group sessions, while childcare is provided in another room. Cost: Free. 10:30-11:30 a.m., Mansfield Public Library, 104 S. Wisteria St.

Veterans Day Parade & Salute:
Join the city of Mansfield and Mansfield ISD as we salute our military veterans with a parade down Broad St. in front of City Hall and hold a Patriotic Salute Concert at the front steps of City Hall. 10:00 a.m.-noon, 1200 E. Broad St.

Mom Boss Expo Holiday Edition:
Free pictures with Santa! There will be 70 vendors, food trucks, music, giveaways, demos and family-friendly activities. The profits will be donated to a Mansfield charity. Cost: Free. 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., St. John Lutheran Church, 1218 E. Debbie Lane.

Campfire Cookout:
For all ages. Enjoy a beautiful autumn evening next to the fire while roasting marshmallows and hot dogs, playing games, making crafts and singing campfire songs. Bring a folding chair. Pre-registration required for all ages, including parents. Register with the MAC.

11/28-12/31
Grand Prairie Lights:
Enter the line 6:00-10:00 p.m., or until the park reaches capacity, whichever comes first. Marked Prairie Lights vehicles will drive to the end of the line at that time. Open every night through December 31. Cost: $50 per car. Lynn Creek Park, 5610 Lake Ridge Pkwy., Grand Prairie, TX 75052.

Hometown Holidays:
Hometown Holidays returns to City Hall this year, with a can’t miss seasonal spectacle. Intricate light displays, local performances, carnival rides, festive food and a holiday drone show presented by H-E-B are all just the start of the fun! Cost: Free. 5:00-9:00 p.m., Mansfield City Hall, 1200 E. Mansfield Women’s Club Holiday Home Tour:
Tour homes decorated for the holidays and get into the spirit! This fundraiser helps those in need in Mansfield. Purchase tickets at Tom Thumb, Mansfield. Cost: $30. 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. For more information, call (817) 932-2329.

Families, seniors or anyone in MISD who needs food is welcome to walk-in. Pets are provided for, as well. Story Time for Tots:
Toddlers 18 months to 3 years old with a caregiver can enjoy 30 minutes of books, songs, finger-plays and rhymes introducing toddlers and parents to developmentally appropriate literature and related activities. Thursdays
Chess Club:
Learn how to play chess, or just brush up on your skills. All ages and levels welcome. Cost: Free; no registration. 6:00-7:30 p.m., Mansfield Public Library,  104 S. Wisteria St.

Saturdays (May-Nov.)
Mansfield Farm & Cottage Market:
Local farmers, homesteaders, artisans, craftsman, artists and musicians gather for a community market in the city. Join local musicians and nonprofit/educational groups to build the community. Free. 8:00 a.m.-noon, 703 E. Broad St. Parking Lot.
