Resource and Health Fair:
Listen as community organizations present information on health, wellness and other resources available to senior citizens. A free lunch will be provided at 11:30 a.m., and there will be door prizes. Bring the whole family for a night of games, music and lively performances by La Frequencia and Ballet Folklorico de Fort Worth to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. 7:00-9:00 p.m., Mayor Vera Calvin Plaza, 141 W. Renfro St.

Parks Maintenance Rodeo:
Crews show off their skills in a variety of job-related tasks, from trailer pulling to leaf blowing and more. Family-friendly event. Watch members of our parks and athletics crews compete against each other for bragging rights. Pet Supply Drive and Fundraiser:
Join us for a day of fun and generosity. Your participation supports the Burleson Animal Shelter and benefits our furry friends in need. Bring an item from the list or donate $5, and you’ll receive a raffle ticket to win a prize! 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Senior Activity Center, 216 SW Johnson Ave.

Mother’s Day Outing:

Super Safety Saturday:
The Burleson Fire Department is partnering with Texas Health Burleson for a family-friendly safety event that will include pool and sun safety education, home safety, bike safety, fire safety and much more. There will also be bounce houses, face painting, a photo booth, fire truck, police cars and ambulances. Bring your bathing suit and towel for a swim evaluation! Texas Heritage Festival:
Enjoy historical vendors, historic home tours, live music, community square dance, blacksmithing, pottery demonstrations, Native American interactive demonstration, hayrides, outdoor cooking from chuck wagons and food trucks as we celebrate all things Texas. 4:00-8:00 p.m., Russell Farm, 405 W. This event is perfect for riders of all skill levels. $45 for individual riders through 5/17; $35 each for 4 or more family/group riders through 5/12; and $50 for individual riders day of.
