Mayor’s Winter Walk:
A 1-mile, guided nature trail excursion to discover the winter secrets of the prairie habitat. The event is free and open to all ages and is led by members of the Texas Master Naturalist, Indian Trail Chapter of Ellis and Navarro Counties. In addition to the walk, participants will enjoy refreshments, kids’ crafts and free prize drawings. Dress appropriately for the weather. Closed-toe shoes are recommended. Keep in mind that trails are natural surface. Rain-out date is February 24. 10:00 a.m.-noon, Mockingbird Nature Park, 1361 Onward Rd.
