Sloppy Joes

  • 2 lbs. lean ground chuck
  • 2 cups celery, chopped
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 4 Tbsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  1. Brown ground chuck; drain.
  2. Sauté celery, onion and pepper, until tender.
  3. Combine meat, sautéed vegetables and remaining ingredients in large pot; cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
  4. Add more water if the mixture is too thick. Serve over hamburger buns.
