Fresh Strawberry Pie

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water or 7UP
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 3 Tbsp. strawberry Jell-O
  • 4 drops red food coloring
  • 1 qt. strawberries, cut
  • Baked pie shell or graham cracker crust
  • Cool Whip
  1. Bring first four ingredients to a boil; stir constantly until mixture is thick and clear; add food coloring; cool.
  2. Put strawberries in a baked pie shell or graham cracker crust; pour sugar mixture over strawberries.
  3. Refrigerate at least 3 hours; add Cool Whip before serving.
