- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water or 7UP
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 3 Tbsp. strawberry Jell-O
- 4 drops red food coloring
- 1 qt. strawberries, cut
- Baked pie shell or graham cracker crust
- Cool Whip
- Bring first four ingredients to a boil; stir constantly until mixture is thick and clear; add food coloring; cool.
- Put strawberries in a baked pie shell or graham cracker crust; pour sugar mixture over strawberries.
- Refrigerate at least 3 hours; add Cool Whip before serving.
