Music festival that began in 2002 honoring late Waxahachie ’60s-era musicians: Bill Estes, Ronnie Dawson, Larry Vasseur, Mike O’Daniel, Nick Esparza, Terry Roe, J. Lee Beck, Sammy Compton, Mark T. Ellis County Business Expo:
The chambers of commerce for Waxahachie, Ennis, Midlothian and Red Oak have joined forces to create a new vendor show featuring more than 100 vendors, live entertainment, a kids’ zone, food trucks and A Taste of Ellis County, where one can taste samples of restaurants from all over the county. $5 for shopping; $10 includes tasting. 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., Ellis County Youth Expo Building, 2300 U.S. 287, Waxahachie.
